hello world...

i've decided that i am going to be jumping on the blogging bandwagon. there have been several items pop up in my personal and professional life that have given me the 'shove' into committing to doing this every so often:

• working on obtaining my ccie certification in routing and switching
• my everyday encounters with networking, network technology, and a myriad of customer environments
• working with the skillsusa internetworking program at the state level in arizona and trying to boost the involvement at the high school level in this compeition and within the cisco networking academy as a whole.

because of this -- i plan on devoting much of this blog to cisco network design, network technology, configuration, my daily interactions with open source software (read: how you can be cheap by using linux), and every now and then, posting about a fine bottle of whiskey when the time is right.
